GENERAL LAFAYETTE RETURNS TO ARLINGTON!
Revolutionary War Hero Major General The Marquis De Lafayette paid a visit to the Arlington Historical Society & Jason Russell House to retrace his steps 200 years ago, when Monsieur Lafayette toured the U.S. in 1824. The esteemed General's visit back then included Boston, West Cambridge (now Arlington), Lexington and Concord to honor America's fight for independence. On Monday September 2 of THIS year, it was a jammed-packed Jason Russell House as General Lafayette recounted his glorious triumphs - in helping our 13 colonies break free from the dreaded lobster-backs and that rapscallion King George III! Our thanks to Historian Richard Duffy, Peter Reilly, Arlington's Historical Society and the venerated General Lafayette himself for their time!

CYRUS DALLIN MUSEUM FOUNDER PASSES
Sad news to report regarding someone who was close to ACMi News. Jim McGough, who founded the Cyrus Dallin Art Museum at 611 Massachusetts Avenue, passed away on Monday, August 26th - after suffering a heart attack. At this time, funeral arrangements are unknown.
ACMi News ran a story just last month about Sculptor Cyrus Dallin's painstaking efforts to get his iconic Paul Revere Statue erected in Boston. Clearly, Jim was thrilled to narrate this story for us.
To honor Jim for his determination in keeping the Cyrus Dallin name alive by laying the groundwork for a magnificent museum in the heart of Arlington, here now is that story.
Our condolences to Jim's family and loved ones.
