President Biden is at the White House in Washington, D.C.

10:15 AM EDT President Biden and Vice President Harris will be briefed privately in the Oval Office by a senior member of the Intelligence Community on domestic and international developments of consequence to U.S. national security.

5:30 PM President Biden will welcome "..Leaders of ASEAN countries and the ASEAN Secretary General to the White House and takes a family photo as part of the U.S.-ASEAN Special Summit."

6:00 PM President Biden will host a dinner for the Leaders of ASEAN countries and the ASEAN Secretary General in the White House State Dining Room.

About ten minutes before noon ET Principal Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre began a gaggle from on board Air Force One en Route to Kankakee, Illinois.

Air Force One landed at Chicago O’Hare at 11:08 AM CDT in nearly 90 degrees (F) air temperature. The President switched to Marine One and at 12:04 PM CDT President Biden landed on board Marine One at the Illinois Army National Guard Aviation Support Facility within the Greater Kankakee Airport.

On arrival The President was greeted by Congresswoman Robin Kelly (IL-02). A few minutes later The President was rolling en route to the family farm.

At 12:22 PM CDT President Biden with Sec. Vilsack and Representative Kelly, arrived at O’Connor Farms in Kankakee, Illinois, which specializes in producing corn, wheat and soy beans. The President toured the farm with family owners Jeff O’Connor, and Gina O’Connor. While visiting the farm The President discussed the "..impact of Putin’s invasion of Ukraine on food supply and prices at home and abroad, and the Biden-Harris Administration’s efforts to give farmers the tools and resources they need to boost domestic food production."

According to a Source while discussing with the O'Connors the challenges and benefits of double cropping, The President observed that while Ukraine is the largest producer of wheat in the world. "Can’t get it out,” he said. The discussion then briefly centered on the effects of Russia's war against Ukraine on global food security.

About quarter past 1:00 PM CDT at O’Connor Farm President Biden began open press remarks about ".. Putin’s Price Hike and his Administration’s actions to support farmers and food processors, lower their costs and lower prices for families."

The President began by addressing his own history with the agriculture industry; "..everybody looks at me and says, 'Have you ever been on a farm?'.." He noted that Delaware, the state he represented on Capitol Hill for 36 years is part of the $4 billion Delmarva regional agriculture industry. "..we have more chickens than there are Americans," The President joked, raising laughter in the crowd.

At 5:03 PM President Biden arrived at the Marriott Marquis Chicago for the Democratic National Committee fundraiser, where he provided about 30 minutes of motivating remarks that began at about 5:40 PM.
According to a Source present about 40 were in attendance in a standard hotel conference room at the Marriott. DNC Chair Jaime Harrison introduced Illinois Governor Jay Robert ('J.B.") Pritzker, who then introduced The President.

Governor Pritzker focused on abortion rights and the "urgency of the moment," he repeated President Biden’s warning against an “ultra-MAGA” movement resurfacing to power. At 5:39 PM CDT The Governor introduced President Biden.

President Biden began by thanking those in the audience who took part in his 2020 campaign for the presidency. He spoke about the global struggle between democracies and autocracies, noting China's rise. “There’s a lot at stake,” The President noted. “A whole lot at stake.”
