Just like the softball Diamond Dozen team, the baseball Diamond Dozen team was just as difficult to create, as so many stellar athletes from across the county made a compelling case to be a part of the team. With that in mind, here is Archer County News’ Diamond Dozen for the 23-24 baseball season.

The three Archer County baseball teams had to overcome a lot of different obstacles this past season. New coaches made their debut, underclassmen showed out, and seniors made one more push for a state title.

97th District Attorney Casey Hall was indicted for theft of property greater than $2,500 less than $30,000 from Montague County on Monday, July 8.

"I intend to prove my innocence and will continue my work tirelessly to pursue justice through the end of my term as your 97th Judicial District Attorney," Hall said.

Following a 23-24 softball season that marked another successful year for the three Archer County high schools on the softball diamond, the Archer County News has named 12 athletes to its Diamond Dozen team with Holliday's Kinley Marek taking home MVP honors.

Cristi Kellar was sworn in as the new Archer County Auditor by 97th District Court Judge Trish Coleman Byars on Wednesday, May 1. Kellar replaces outgoing county auditor Paul Wylie who retired from the position at the end of April.

Conner W. Deen has been named Assistant County Attorney for Archer County. Mr. Deen is a graduate of the University of Tulsa School of Law and is a member of the State Bar of Texas. He has been actively working with the Office of the Archer County Attorney, David Levy, since May of 2022.
