Calling all graphic designers! We are seeking artists of all disciplines to pitch designs for the official poster for the upcoming 58th annual Humboldt International Film Festival! Cement your work as part of the legacy of the world’s oldest student-run film festival. Prompt is open and creative use of medium(s) is highly encouraged.

Open to Cal Poly Humboldt students only. The winning designer must be available during the spring semester to coordinate with our team to finalize their design and will be paid $500 for their contributions.

Submit designs to [email protected]. Submissions must be in 11x17 format. Deadline is January 31, 2025.

We look forward to seeing what you come up with!

This afternoon, join HIFF's three visiting judges, Dro Watson, Atin Mehra and Omar Kamara for an interactive panel discussion about working with limited budgets and crews as an independent filmmaker. They'll talk about how to bring your creative vision to life while juggling multiple roles on set. The three speakers will cover experimental/animation, documentary and narrative approaches to filmmaking.

Presented in partnership with the Cal Poly Humboldt Cinema Club.

The discussion will begin today at 5pm, at Cal Poly Humboldt, in Art B102. Hope to see you there!
