So excited to share this Nourished By Diversity book cover design I did in collaboration with the brilliant global leadership expert, Jaleh Zandieh.

The concept for this cover:
We use the Fibonacci spiral-shaped dandelion seeds to represent her precision in creating the 9 service-driven leadership styles that we are innately embodying, which helps us understand how lead and how wto navigate our leadership opportunities and challenges in many stages of our businesses. The center thumbprint and “diversity” word were done in variety of warm colors to represent 2 things: various skin colors of different races as well as tea colors from various cultures. I wanted to infuse her love for teas into her book branding. Last but not least, I created this design to shape as no 9 (the framework and a sacred no. In Bahai, her background) and mimic the nautilus shell to represent her love of the beach and remind us of the ocean that connects global countries together. Overall, we want a simple yet striking and deeply meaningful icon to represent her unique framework.

Funpreneur Idea for Parents this Summer:
Surprise Jar of Cool Activities 🎉☀️🎉☀️🎉😀

After asking enough times of “what would you like to do together?” and getting “I dunno” all the time from my teen girl, I got an idea to do this surprise jar with 4 different activities written on strips of paper. Then, I asked her to pick 2 and read them.

I started with 4 choices that she would love. After seeing how fun & effective this approach was, I’ve expanded the list to 8 activities. Now my girl went to the jar herself whenever she feels bored and want to do something fun. 🙌😊

Here is the my latest list for inspiration if you want to try it:
1. Do art & craft together (jewelry making included)
2. Go for a drive & experience a new impromptu thing we see & agree
3. Play some board games
4. Binge a show or watch a movie
5. Do music activities (karaoke, dance, write lyrics, or music play)
6. Make & eat food / dessert together
7. Meaningful chat & get to know us better over fruit refresher or smoothie
8. Learn a new thing together: watch educational YouTube or listen to podcast / audio book

After a while, I like changing some of these with new choices to keep things fresh. Do you have any cool ideas to add to this jar? Share yours in the comments. 🙏😊

What have you learned through grieving time of losing loved ones?

My friend, Stephanie, and I just had a full circle conversation from our grieving & parenting experiences.

When I lost a dear friend in my late 30’s unexpectedly, it gave me new realization about what truly matters in life and how precious today is. When I lost a few more loved ones over the years, it shaped how I reprioritize my time & energy to optimize meaningful moments that matter long term.

Today, I have designed my funpreneurship (fun & fulfilling entrepreneurship), where I can be with my loved ones not only when they need me but also when we want to like baking pandan cookies, playing Stockland Yard, or learning a new skill with impromptu timing. It might not be all the time of course, but managing the art of business & life integration has become my life passion. I really hope everyone could eventually get here.

Stephanie & I realized that today is a gift and tomorrow is never guaranteed. So, we paused to really be intentional to choose love everyday in our words, actions, and energy. In our busy schedule, things sometimes slip our mind and that's okay. We practice kindness to ourselves when we are just being human with mommy brains 😅. The most important things is we are building a habit of being intentional in how we show up. We are hoping that by authentically being & doing the best we can, we will leave a lasting impact in our relationships in each others’ lifetime.

My sweet neighbor, Lorraine, surprised me with a lovely bouquet of flowers at our recent Valentine’s Day pop-up event. She loved our Turtle Mountain mug for its message to keep up faith and perseverance in building your big, meaningful legacy, and to keep pushing forward.

Unfortunately, we ran out of this mug at the showcase, so she placed and order and kindly waited. Her mug arrived sooner than anticipated 🙌, and I decided to surprise her delivery with this beautifully hand painted chocolate in her mug. I hope this lil gift brings her smile 💕

A perfect afternoon to create my new Curious Morphologie art and have a warm chicken meatball soup 🥰.
