Marriage and divorce rates in the United States declined from 2009 to 2019, but rates vary from state to state. People are getting married later now than before. Some reasons include the desire to establish a career first, financial stability, and finding the right partner.
People are getting divorced more often now than before. The most common reasons are conflict, arguing, incompatibility, infidelity, financial issues, emotional and physical abuse, and addiction. These reasons can be related to age, gender, and socioeconomic status. Some people also have irreconcilable differences that make them incompatible on political, religious, or personal matters. There are many ways to save a marriage.
