I don't think y'all fully understand what Serena Williams is showing us here!
Everyone is too caught up in talking about Drake being her ex, but this moment of her doing the c-walk to this song is way more important. Serena dancing like this is sending a message to America, not Drake. Let’s break it down. This isn't just about having fun, it’s a bigger statement.
Serena’s whole career has been about never giving up. She faced accusations of cheating, was drug tested more than other top players, and was punished for being too strong, too skilled, and too good. She dealt with racism, unfair treatment, and people always watching her closely. The bad calls against her were so obvious that it pushed tennis to bring in new technology, like Hawk-Eye, to fix these biases. She was ridiculed for doing this same dance at the Wimbledon Championships.
Serena didn’t just win, she changed the game. Even after everything she faced, that young girl from Compton is still standing strong, still dancing, still powerful. She's a true icon.
