This is from the autumn 1981 in the office of Paul Reed Smith. I had just bought my first video camera a month earlier, a Sony HVC-2200. His tiny shop was upstairs on 33 West St. where the Rams Head is today. Paul is making a guitar for Neil Schon of Journey, after selling his double neck. After is a bit of Band of a Thousand Names at Charlie’s West Side. So, I’m learning Premiere and it was kinda fitting here we are some 40 years later learning new software to this clip. Todays exercise was color correction. The cameras back then were not very sensitive… they had no feelings. Badum boop. There wasn’t much information in the VHS image to work with.

Marquise Promo
We just wrapped 3 days of editing with entertainment producer Andy Kushner at Take One South. He enjoyed the sun, palm trees, lunches at the resort club house, home cooked meals, evenings in the Flugelhorn Hot Tub, and the occasional gator siting. For your next personal or corporate event check out Marquise. A powerful and talented band of seasoned pros.
This is our 8th year producing the kick-off video for the Chesapeake Region Tech Council Annual Tech Awards, held tonight. This year we went a little retro, ummm… a lot of retro, like 35 years retro. Producer Liz Thibodeau hatched this crazy idea and Creative Director Dan Dingus created this TechMan game to frame this year’s nominees.
So how much does it cost to make a video? It's like asking how much does a car cost. Account manager/producer Liz Thibodeau explains...
