Foo Fighters kicked off their UK tour on Thursday night in Manchester, and debuted a new/old song called “Unconditional.”
According to a representative for the band, the song was “partially written and demo’d during home studio sessions years ago — but ultimately left unfinished. The band’s rediscovery of ‘Unconditional’ happened in true spontaneous Foo Fighters fashion: The song came up in conversation during rehearsals for the UK tour, and all it took was one run-through — The decision was made instantly to share it with everyone in the same way – live.”

Foo Fighting Cancer - On June 7, drummer Greg Barton will be playing through all 128 songs from Foo Fighters’ studio discography in full, all in one take to raise money for the Cancer Research Institute in honor of both his grandmother who has cancer, and of the late Taylor Hawkins.
That means Barton will be playing for nine-and-a-half hours straight. he has been preparing for months. “Before you say, ‘That’s impossible,’ I did a six-hour play through last month and feel confident I can go the distance!” he said when making the announcement.
“And I’m not just half-assing them or ‘doing my own version’,” he explained. “I know these songs like the back of my hand. I’m a professional drummer with 15 years experience, and I isolated every drum track with AI to take my practice over the past 6 months to the next level.”
