Music

Music is something I can say we all love. Do you know anybody who doesn’t have their favorite jam? I’ve been listening, and I mean really listening, to music since the age of 12. Ever since then, I’ve wanted to become a DJ. To produce my own sound is one of my dreams, to have other people listening and enjoying it. My parent’s bought me a whole stack of vinyl, DJ mixer, and two turntables to play with when I was 12 years old. I thought, this isn’t for me, maybe... It was so hard! Back then, I really didn’t listen to much anything else than Daft Punk, Skrillex, Avicii, type stuff. Mostly EDM.

Come around to the year of 2017, I thought, hey, why not pull out those old turntables and vinyl. I absolutely loved it. I adored all the crazy sounds. I have a passion for mixing and making music. Music that I previously didn’t like, I listened to with an open mind; I ended up lost in the sound. Now, I own a Traktor Z2, all the crazy functions on it, along with mixing digital music, it expanded my whole world in mixing. To be honest, there’s so much music. So much digging. To find the best, most unique sounds, I spend probably 10 hours a week just digging.

Now, I mix just as a hobby. I’m trying to hone my skills, so that when I do hit my first gig, I impress. Not only others, but myself.
