We’re excited to announce that The Michiganensian is a Pacemaker Finalist, ’ most preeminent and prestigious award! The ACP Pacemaker Award has recognized excellence in collegiate journalism since 1921, honoring the best of the best yearbooks, newspapers, magazines, and online media. This year, we are one of just nine yearbooks to be honored as finalists. We couldn’t be more proud of our team for their dedication and creativity!

This year AKA will celebrate 91 years of scholarship, sisterhood, and service to ALL Mankind. They strive to make a meaningful and lasting impact on the Ann Arbor campus community through biannual Skee Week events, which highlight six International targets, community outreach and service events, AKAdemics study sessions, and an annual Fantasy in Pink Scholarship Ball.

The chapter has been awarded several times on the Regional Level of our sorority, including Outstanding Undergraduate Chapter, Outstanding Chapter Semester Average, and Outstanding Undergraduate Website. Several of their members have gone on to hold Regional and International positions within the Sorority. The chapter aims to surpass previous achievements and continue to uplift the campus community.

The No. 8-ranked Michigan women’s tennis team closed out the Michigan Invitational with a dominant performance, sweeping all eight singles matches on the final day. The Wolverines also secured two hard-fought doubles wins against Texas Tech and dropped just one singles match over the three-day event.

Up next, Michigan begins dual-match play at the ITA Kick-Off on Jan. 25, hosting Yale, UCSB, and Vanderbilt at the Varsity Tennis Center.
