Cookie is a sweetie and the most gentle girl. Hem dam and sire are both extremely easy to work with. Her dam is the best milk stand mannered doe I’ve ever met, never steps, kids easy & is a great mother.
Comes from good milk genetics *B sire and all her dam grand dams and more have milk stars and several SG & CH. her mother has not been on linear appraisal yet.
You won’t disappointed with this sweetheart!

Meet chocolate ( the 2024 edition, 2023 a was a buck baby goat, 2022 was a doe baby goat). Evelina recently turned 6 and picked out this Barnevelder hen to mark the occasion.
She has successfully been adopted into the hatchling clutch our splash silkie Cabbage hatched with the help of her sister shadow. This was great for cabbage as she spent all last fall trying to hatch everything under the sun with no success! I love sweet farm moments like this 💕

Our pretty little Zell Bell is looking for a herd to settle into. She is a ADGA registerable 2 year old Polled & Blue Eyed Nigerian Dwarf jr doe. She is the first doe that was born on our farm! I just don’t have the room to keep everyone. Her dam produced a good amount of milk for having a singleton when I milked her.

The farm was covered in a thick sheet of ice 🧊!
Why does it seem I never check the weather forecast before these things happen!
Less than 24 hours without power.
But that was enough for me for 2023!

Quail Update
The quail are loving the outside even in the freezing cold!
We went out Friday night and didn’t get home until far after dark it was a 7 degree night and they were all outside still huddled down for the night.
Now that may have something to do with the fact that they seem to be able to go down the ramp but not back up!

During that cold snap they’ve taken a little detour from giving us adorable daily eggs to enjoy, I bieleve that in large part to be due to the cold with the absence of sunlight ☀️.

The kids love their quail egg breakfasts!

Overall we love their little personalities . They are docile and easy to handle. They anxiously wait for the ramp to lower each morning so they can go peck the ground and soak up the sun.

I can’t wait to get them on pasture this spring and collect more cute teeny spoted eggs each day!

We have some sweet Roos that were hatched from eggs here on the farm. Looking for a coop to look after.
1 is a Turken (not hatched in the farm he’s a supposed to be she kid influenced buy from rural king 🤭)
4 are silkie cross with polish (1 looks to be possibly full silkie)
We feed organic soy free feed 🙂.
