Gusty winds, rain and warm weather remains with us across the state. Be prepared for some areas of freezing rain through the Susitna Valley and areas surrounding Juneau. Above average warmth stays with us through the middle of the week.

Freezing rain will slowly transition to rain showers throughout the day, although icy roads will be a concern for most of the day. Quick reminder that People Mover has temporarily suspended service due to icy conditions.

The frigid cold over the last few days is quickly being eroded away, as warmer weather takes it place. Rain and snow will return to Southcentral Tuesday, with temperatures quickly warming near freezing the rest of the week.
Be prepared for slick roads across Southcentral. While snow has been falling to our north, Anchorage and Prince William Sound are seeing more in the way of a rain event. This will lead to very slick roads, with colder weather quick to follow this week.
Winds have been quite gusty the last several hours, with the strongest winds occurring near Palmer. While winds have peaked for many areas, expect a gradual dying off of winds into the evening. Plenty of sunshine and a slow warming trend will carry us through the rest of the week.
Keep kids and pets safe in the cold and windy weather! Strong north winds will gust 50-60 mph from Anchorage to the Valleys into Tuesday. Otherwise, clear and cold. Lows likely to drop below zero for many areas! Here's the forecast!
Snowfall totals have been bumped up slightly across Southcentral, with many areas still expected to see several inches of accumulation. The higher amounts will fall along the hillside, while most of Southcentral sees 3 to 6 additional inches.
Areas of dense fog are beginning to settle into some parts of Southcentral. While not everyone will see it, be prepared for fluctuating visibility at times this morning. Most of Southcentral will stay dry and sunny today, with snow expected through the Copper River Basin.
Temperatures continue to drop across Southcentral, with even colder weather expected through the middle of the week. Well spend most of this week on the dry side, with a slight chance for snow by weeks end.
Coastal rain and winds will remain today, with areas of the Seward Highway continuing to see snow accumulation. As the rain and snow taper off, expect colder and sunnier conditions into the weekend.
A multitude of impacts will be felt across Southcentral today in the form of high winds, heavy snow and rain. The brunt of todays weather will remain south of Anchorage, but even then our roads will become hazardous as temperatures warm through the day.
