“I’ve been working on this project for a while and it’s finally coming out now!”

Former ATMI producer Madison Knutson has launched “Getting It Right: Adapting Lawless for Television”, a limited series podcast that explores the representation of journalists in modern and popular media.

This series was completed as part of her Honors College Thesis at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication

It is about meta adaptations of journalistic work, specifically looking at the show Alaska Daily ABC.

Shout out to Taylor Heckart a valued member of the ATMI team and student at Journalism and Public Communications at UAA! Taylor is currently interning at KUCB thanks to an exchange opportunity made possible by Atwood Foundation and the Alaska Center for Excellence in Journalism Fund. We look forward to following her work to inform Alaskans!

Taylor Heckart is a senior at the University of Alaska Anchorage studying journalism and public communications with a minor in history and political science. Taylor is a lifelong Alaskan with a background in student media through UAA. She loves public radio and community storytelling.
