There are a questions coming up because of the recordings from this special trip.
The person who recorded these concerts and typed these labels almost never had any errors in their notes. Most of the recording units from this time are dated end of July, and in August; but one or two have the date listed as October instead. Was anyone there that can help clear this up for us?

We’re going to randomly choose concerts to highlight, as we continue on with data entry. Here is a note contained within the program:
“Thomas Dickinson has performed throughout the United States, and in Europe with orchestra and in recital. In the summer of 1983, he combined commercial fishing with a recital tour in Alaska, appearing in Anchorage at Grant Hall, and the Red Ram Motor Lodge and directing a program of 20th century works at the Visual Arts Center. Last week, while performing in Fairbanks, he stepped in for Edward Auer on three days notice as soloist with the Fairbanks symphony, playing Bartok’s third piano concerto. This recital is part of a tour which will take him to Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Los Angeles. “

Restoring ancient fragments of long-lost Alaskan voices for a client. I love editing analog tape. It's like knitting - essentially meditative work.
