From The Mat-Su School District.

Due to icy conditions, all Region 6 schools—including Su-Valley Jr./Sr. High, Talkeetna Elementary, Trapper Creek Elementary, and Willow Elementary—are closed today, Tuesday, January 14, 2025.

Update: After-school activities will be operating in Region 6 as scheduled.

✅ All other MSBSD regions are open and operating as normal.

All ASD schools will be closed today, Tuesday, Jan. 7, due to weather and road conditions.

Employees should follow emergency closure procedures for their building or department as outlined in the ASD Emergency Closure Plan.

Unless otherwise announced, schools will reopen tomorrow.

Rental facilities will be open for community rental groups / activities.

Merry Christmas!!

That's a wrap! Thanks to the generous donations from our amazing community, we were able to make Christmas brighter for over 90 teens in the foster system in Anchorage! All you Pump Up The Kids veterans know Michael has worked tirelessly for years to ensure these teens receive the gifts on their wishlists, and it’s clear that the big secret to success is the incredible support of our community. I'm deeply humbled by everyone's generosity. Though we can't see the teens' excitement on Christmas morning, we can all imagine the joy we helped create. A big thank you to OCS, the foster families who selflessly open their homes to these teens and Michael for never letting these kids down over the years and allowing me to help keep the tradition alive. Merry Christmas!
