Hereâs some great information on how to help out the animals that have been affected by Typhoon Halong.
We know the info is all over the place so we wanted to recap and pin a post where you can find the info all in one place!

Kennel Donations for Typhoon Relief
We are accepting on behalf of Bethel Friends of Canines airline kennels to be used and distributed to affected villages to extract refugee and evacuee dogs to safety.
Please make sure these kennels are in good, clean, usable condition, broken down flat with the door and hardware in a ziploc bag in-between the halves. They don't have to be perfect or even pretty, but must be safe to use!
Anchorage:
Anchorage Animal Care and Control has incredibly offered space to accept kennels! You can drop them off at 4711 Elmore St, Anchorage ANY time. If you drop them off during normal business hours, please drop them with customer service. If you are dropping off after hours, please drop them at the front door labeled for Typhoon or Bethel.
AK Bark and Alaska Veterinary Clinic have teamed up to provide a location for kennel (and other supplies) to be dropped as well.
JBER:
For anyone with base access/who lives on base, the JBER Veterinary Treatment Facility is also acting as a donation collection point. They will provide transportation of donations to the Anchorage Animal Shelter. Please drop off items during business hours and additionally 0830-1230 this Saturday, 18 October. They can break down kennels.
Girdwood:
Alpenglow Coffee House - please drop during business hours only!
Valley:
The Better Companion has also incredibly offered space to accept kennels for our valley folk! Please drop them only during business hours. 1400 E Regine Ave (off Fairview Loop!)
Fairbanks:
The Great Alaskan Bowl Company is open 7 days a week and has offered us a YEAR ROUND drop point for Fairbanks donations!

Anchorage Brewing Company - Come into the tap room to the front desk and get drop off instructions for the day! Please drop during business hours only.
AK Bark and Alaska Veterinary Clinic are also drop points for other supply donations, and AK Bark even has a cash donation box for us!
Girdwood:
Coffee House - please drop during business hours only!
Valley:
The Better Companion is also accepting food and other supply donations!
Fairbanks:
You got it - The Great Alaskan Bowl Company is taking donations of all kinds of us, YEAR ROUND!

Monetary Donations:
If you wish to donate monetarily to the cause, you can donate many ways. Please contact us if you need to speak with us about any of these methods. Funding will be used to pay for vaccines, dewormer, other medical items as needed for upset tummies, skin conditions, etc., any items needed but hasn't yet been donated, fuel and other transportation costs, and veterinary costs for spays/neuters for typhoon animals.
