Story time with DJ Blaque BAY BAY!
So, a little over 6 months ago, I was looking at my logo. I had been rocking with that design for about two years, but it just wasn’t doing it for me anymore. I’d been using it since the beginning of COVID, and it was time to remake it into something different. I’m always talking about supporting local, and I felt like it was time for me to do just that. So, I reached out to someone I trust, respect, and listen to—someone local. Enter John of 49th Supply Co. I knew his work, and I’d been wearing his and Vas’s designs since I was small enough to fit into a shirt or a hoodie. Long story short, he was like, “Alright, I got you,” and just before this summer started, right before I opened for Pauly D, I was blessed with my new B logo with the crown and my name on it.
Well, right before I left Juneau a little over a week ago, there was a Tattoo Expo going on. I found an artist, dipped into the little savings I had, and said, “Ink me.” I sent John pictures while it was being done, and he was blown away. I never thought he’d make a short clip of me with the following caption:

Blessed to have friends like this who continue to support me on my journey. I’m not the biggest or best DJ, I don’t get all the gigs, but I do have a solid group who rock with me every step of the way. Thanks, John, and thanks to EVERYONE who continues to rock and support me—whether it’s reppin’ my stickers, wearing my merch, or showing up to my gigs! #BlessUp
