I SAW AN ADULT WOMAN WITH MULTIPLE PIERCINGS AND TATTOOS IN CHURCH, AND I FELT UNCOMFORTABLE. AM I WRONG TO THINK THERE SHOULD BE STANDARDS?

Last Sunday, I saw something in church that really unsettled me. A woman, probably in her 40s, walked in covered in tattoos and numerous piercings. To me, church has always been a place of modesty and reverence, and I couldn’t help but feel like her appearance was out of place in such a sacred space. I know everyone is different, but it just felt wrong to me. Shouldn’t there be some standards for how we present ourselves in a place of worship?

After the service, I saw her outside and decided to approach her. I tried to be polite, but I told her that I felt her look wasn’t really appropriate for church and maybe she should consider toning it down in such a setting. She looked at me like I was crazy and sharply replied, “It’s none of your business how I look.” Her reaction shocked me, and I was left feeling even more confused.

Am I being too old-fashioned here? I just think that in church, a certain level of respect and modesty should be expected. Has anyone else experienced something like this? How did you handle it?

I'M 72, AND I SAW A WOMAN MY AGE IN A SWIMSUIT, SHOWING OFF HER BODY AT THE BEACH. SHOULD SHE BE MORE MODEST AT THIS STAGE OF LIFE?

Yesterday, I went to the beach and saw something that left me questioning what's appropriate at our age. A woman, likely around my age, was confidently walking around in a revealing swimsuit, showing off her body as if she was 30 years younger. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for confidence, but at 72, isn't there a time when we should dress a bit more modestly?

Feeling compelled to say something, I approached her and politely mentioned that perhaps a bit more modesty might be more appropriate at our age. To my surprise, she just laughed at me. I was taken aback — here I was trying to give some friendly advice, and she didn't seem to take it seriously at all.

It made me wonder — shouldn't we be embracing grace and elegance as we get older? There's something about flaunting everything that just feels out of place for someone in her 70s. Am I being too old-fashioned, or should there be a point where we acknowledge our age and dress accordingly? What do you think? Full my story in the first comment 👇

I'd been agonizing over planning the house decor for weeks since we moved in. That day, I set my eyes on the wallpaper that covered most of the house.
I didn't like it very much, so I just ripped it off. But on one section of the house, I noticed something.
"What the hell? Why is that a brick wall?" - I thought.
It was out of place. The house had been built with strong wood, which meant the walls should have been as well... I told my husband, Sam.
"Look at this... Is that possible?"
"It shouldn't be," he said. "The bricks may have been used to conceal something..."
"You're right," I said with a smile. "Wanna see what's behind it?"
"I THOUGHT YOU'D NEVER ASK," Sam replied, a twinkle in his eyes.
We broke down the brick wall, and there was a door behind it. It led to a medium-sized room?!
It looked like time stood still there. On the house plan, there we no rooms in that place.

As the bus rattled along the familiar bumpy roads, Carly sat near the front, clutching the envelope of money her mother and grandmother had given her. She was happy and hopeful, imagining the perfect dress that would make her prom night unforgettable.

Suddenly, the bus screeched to a halt at a bus stop, jolting Carly out of her thoughts. Two workers from the bus station stepped on board, checking everyone's tickets. All seemed normal — until they reached the man at the back. He sat hunched, dressed in shabby clothes and looking quite nervous.

The man froze, his hands trembling as the worker asked for his ticket. "I... I don't have it," he stammered, his voice shaky.

"No ticket means a fine," one of them said sternly. "You'll have to pay up, or we'll have to call the authorities."

Panic washed over the man's face. "Please, I'm begging you," he said, his voice trembling even more. "I'm trying to get to my daughter. She's sick, and... I HAVE TO TAKE HER TO THE HOSPITAL! Please, I just need to get to her." But the bus workers didn't seem convinced, they pushed him even more.

Carly, who had been watching the scene unfold, felt a sudden tug at her heart. His story struck a chord with her — she couldn't imagine what it would be like to be so helpless, especially with a sick child waiting for him.

Her mind raced as she glanced down at the envelope of money still clutched tightly in her hand. But she couldn't shake the feeling that there were more important things than a pretty dress.

Without thinking too much, she took a deep breath and handed the money to the bus workers. "I'LL PAY HIS FINE!" she said quietly, feeling a strange mixture of sadness and resolve. After thanking her, the man hurried off the bus, racing to get to his daughter.

Looks like I've earned the title of "official outsider" in the family after our wedding. My wife and I made it only one rule: our wedding has to be a child-free event. We mentioned it on the invites, and I even had a direct talk with my brother about it.

Fast forward to the wedding. My brother showed up late but that's not the worse. He brought ALL FOUR OF HIS KIDS. I was so done. So yeah, I asked him to get the hell out of my wedding.

Now my family hates me. My request was not just on a whim — there's a GREAT explanation from my past for having a "no kids" rule!

"I'm going to do a great job," Caroline psyched herself up ahead of her first assignment. She and her friend, Melissa, moved to New York a few days ago to make their dreams of being Broadway stars come true.

But they needed to find jobs first to rent an apartment together. Luckily, Melissa got hired at a clothing store, and Caroline got a job at an agency for domestic cleaners.

"I'm having a baby!!" I started to scream, as a flight attendant rushed over to me.

The attendant quickly let the pilot know and he immediately connected with the nearest airport to request permission to land.

"Request denied," the dispatcher said, "due to oncoming storm."

Time was running out. In my feverish state, all I could manage was call out husband's name.

"Keep her stable for thirty more minutes," this pilot screamed to the attendant. "We are changing our route!"

The pilot steered the plane towards the direction of the only place where someone could help us.

But it was not an airport, and it was going to be rough.

Returning from a rare trip with a friend, I drove past Bruce's house—he's one of my husband Christopher's friends. As I glanced over, I noticed two men standing in the front yard, walking toward a car and grabbing a bag of golf clubs.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. My husband, who had supposedly been unable to walk for so long, was walking just fine. "What is going on? Why didn't he tell me?" I wondered, my mind racing.

As I got home, I paced the floor, trying to make sense of it. Maybe this was something new that happened over the weekend, a miracle, and Christopher was planning to surprise me. Yes, that had to be it... He would come home later that day, walking through the door, and surprise me. Obviously!

But when Christopher finally came home, there he was, in his wheelchair, with Bruce pushing him through the door. My heart sank.👇
