This prestigious accolade is a testament to our dedication and innovation, particularly showcased through our Aurora Project, aimed at bolstering telecommunications connectivity across Alaska. A heartfelt thank you to Chuck Schumann, Shawn Fitzpatrick, Andrea Hulman-Watsjold, and Mike Willmon for representing PDI during the award ceremony, where they graciously accepted the award from IEEE Alaska President, Nolan Willis. We're immensely grateful for this recognition and remain committed to pushing boundaries in engineering excellence.

Pacific Dataport is proud to support local youth this holiday season! Pacific Dataport Engineer Andrea Hulman hosted the local chapter of Society of Women Engineers (SWE Greatland) annual holiday potluck and gift-wrapping party in PDI’s offices the evening of December 5th. While enjoying snacks and holiday music the women of SWE wrapped gifts to donate to twenty Anchorage School District students in need. SWE members adopted students through the Alaska Home Builders Association’s annual shoebox program, run in cooperation with the Anchorage School District. The holiday “shoebox” program (now updated to backpacks) has been an Anchorage tradition for 21 years. By supporting this and other holiday-giving programs, PDI and its employees hope to bring happier holidays to everyone.

Pacific Dataport recently participated in Alaska International Business Center’s (formerly World Trade Center Anchorage) Tech Forward Luncheon. This was an excellent opportunity to share our story as a successful tech company based in Alaska.
We share President & CEO Greg Wolf’s excitement as he takes the Alaska International Business Center (akIBC) to a higher level with a host of new services and expanded member benefits, as well as strengthened global reach through some of the new public and private partnerships he has established in overseas markets.

Shawn Williams, Pacific Dataport’s VP of Government Affairs & Strategy, presented yesterday at the Associated General Contractors of Alaska’s annual conference in Anchorage. It was a great opportunity to share how rural Alaskans are experiencing new space-based connectivity and how today’s contractors can be more efficient, improve employee morale, and be better prepared for emergencies - no matter where they work. We even touched on artificial intelligence (AI) and innovative software promising more accurate estimating, project streamlining, and preventing unsafe work environments.
