I posted this yesterday, and after viewing some of the discussions, I thought I’d clarify some things.

- This does not mean ride on a loose rein forever. This is about the beginning. Your foundation needs to be good enough that the horse is totally comfortable with you riding them, as comfortable with you on their back as they are without. Then, as the meme says, you can start to have conversations with your horse with your aids, instead of wearing them out keeping control.

- this is not about riding on a loose rein while controlling them with your seat and legs. That’s still control. This is about the human giving up control. All the magic in life is on the other side of giving up control.

-In order for your horse to have faith in you, first you need to have faith in them. You do this by giving up control. But in order to stay safe when giving up control, you need to have your preparation right. You need to have faith in your preparation.
So, inevitably, it comes down to YOU, having Faith in YOU
