Fellas - When was the last time you let the homies in on your goals? You’re 65% more likely to achieve your goal when you share it with someone, so this week call up your people and let them know what you’re plotting on in 2024. We made a party of it, but you don’t need to do all that. It can be as easy as dropping it in the group chat.
Communication is such an underrated love language. How do you make sure you’re speaking to those you love in a way they can receive it?
Thank you @wattsstix and @fee_143 for sharing your love story with us.
Sometimes it can be hard for us to understand quality time as a love language until we have kids. Suddenly every second is precious. We love how @kirkandre stops time to spend these valuable moments with his daughter.
You never really understand the power of being seen until you take your guard down for long enough to let somebody see you. Then you realize that your vulnerability affords you power and allows them empathy. We are all more human for it, and certainly @brandonbarrybrown for capturing us, as we are, so we can learn to love our truths.
Grooming is like a secret weapon in the self-love game. We love how @beloved1906 is embracing that and bringing his son along for the ride. Can’t wait to see what they explore together next.
Sometimes we can take brotherhood for granted. We’ve all seen the memes about how easy it is for us to make friends, but it takes intention to keep them. Thanks @theblackmancan for the reminder to value our brotherhood and to be an active participant in it.
We love how @marcomckinnis is opening up to his daughter and allowing her to teach him how to love in a new way. Now they are learning love from each other in a way that’s healing and expanding him as a human and an artist.
Let’s make vulnerable parenting the norm. It’s the only way we’re going to heal the generational wounds.
A great reminder from @wattsstix that the universe is always working in our favor.

And this is why we’re doing this. It’s time to create room for us to just be. Much love to all the community players who are helping to build that space with us, and thank you to @everette for sharing his side of the story.
@blackmensmile thank you for reminding us of the importance of showing our joy.

Who first taught you what love is? Are you still fine-tuning your thoughts on it? Have you ever taken time to define it for yourself? The exploration of love might be the most important one we navigate in life. Thank you @charitycroff for sharing your journey with us. We’re definitely adding that Bell Hooks book to our list.

Black Men Love: About Him
When is the last time you were able to slow down enough to hear yourself? Sometimes our purpose is just on the other side of listening.
When @brendonlives told his story about leaving his life as a media executive behind to pursue his purpose in the healing arts, it started with that voice inside. Taking that time to pay attention to ourselves can help us reprioritize and create a life where our wellness and healing comes first. His story is a reminder that success is not defined by title or accomplishment, but more by happiness and living in your own truth.
