Back at the beginning of the year, we had our friends in Barefoot Truth come by to play some songs they "think they remember" along with some of the staff at Amherst Media, chief engineer Garrett Sawyer, a slew of interns, select fans, and some key camera folk, including Ian D'Arcangelo from the One Time Weekend, & Mike Maresca who in addition to running production at places like Wormtown Music Festival and for Max Creek, is also a pretty damn solid camera guy.

Anyway, after the initial live stream - single we**am and a live mix from the control room - we took the time to mix down the audio further and edit the video footage from the cameras. A few (!) edits later and we were all feeling good about how it all looked and sounded.

Keep your eyes and ears out for the songs, being released once a week!

As we prepare to release the next house concert, it was nice to reflect on the first time that the local television station provided cameras, camera people, and guidance through the editing process. Being a member of Amherst Media has been an incredible asset for us this past year, learning new skills and connecting with up and coming professionals in the field.

I hear they are always looking for new interns over at the station, it sounds like a pretty cool gig. They are especially seeking either year rounders or summer/winter break peoples. It would do wonders in the tweener transition periods, and YOU have access to some dope resources and can do a whole lot of learning and eventually even paying work slash a career out of it, who knows?! You can learn a lot quick if it grabs you.

This was a particularlyfun live and unrehearsed collaboration between Garrick Perry (aka MC Force of The Alchemystics), Gable Johnson III (aka Honeycomb), & Chris Ball (The Medicinal Purpose et. al.), being willing guinea pigs in us figuring out the multiple camera process. Also part of the evening was Eraun Dugger (aka Catalyst), who wasn't on this particular track.

What an incredible weekend with Long Arm Rex. No doubt about it, this crew has Dino’s on the brain. We counted at least four around here, one full size, and Clover got to go home with one! (She named it Max after her new favorite assistant). Continuing into this year, today we have some video editing for Barefoot Truth, drum tracking with Denroy Morgan, an engineering lesson (yes we give lessons!) and some voiceover sessions today. All over the map sometimes! Enjoy your day outside the the VR Facebook fam.
