Next Thursday, I’ll be bidding farewell to the house that’s been a part of my life the past 58 years. I’m leaving her in loving hands of my friend, Barbara Branson.

All good things must find a bittersweet end; but with an end; brings a sweet new start.
As of April 1st, Cass’s Place has closed for good. I am selling the house to a very sweet friend, Barbara Branson.
Barbara wanted to move to Ames to live near her son, Cloyd who’s employed by Mid-State Ag. Barbara will be a great addition to our community. She is interested in participating in community events & she’s just a happy, nice person to be around!
New beginning #2! Cass’s Place has closed but a new short term rental in Ames is opening!!! Owned by Marcy Pribyl (another employee of Mid-State Ag). She purchased the house directly south across the street from the old Coop station. Accommodations will be 2 queen & 2 full beds. $90 per night or $900 per month. Marcy’s information will not be advertised on Airbnb or VRBO; so save this information.

Cass’s Place has the sweetest review from the Sweetwood/Woerner family who recently stayed with us in Ames & are coming back in another week!!! Cass’s Place is my heart & passion. My daughter, Abby Turner-Crews is helping me take care of it now as she waits to get approval for disability. It could be quite a while. Abby has a rare birth defect in her pancreas which causes her to miss a lot of work. Another requirement of applying for disability is to keep her income very low which is a real struggle. There is a fine line between low income & surviving. But with faith in our good Lord, we will make it work out.
Having guest like the Sweetwood/Woerner family stay at Cass’s Place helps us so we can continue to help Abby. So if you’re looking for a place to stay, please give us a consideration.

I haven’t posted much about Cass’s Place lately because we’re booked until January 31st! After that the schedule is an open slate! The 19 yr old heat & air pkg kicked the bucket a couple of weeks ago; so now we’re the proud owners of a brand new one. Not what I had in mind for Christmas though; but I’m thankful we found a new one.
We’re registered with Airbnb. Contact me personally, I can save you some money on a direct booking! I’m wishing everyone a safe & sickness free Christmas season!
