Now that we're seeing the start of the cicada emergence in central Iowa, it's a great time to give you what you've probably missed out on, an accelerated periodical cicada molt!
Our office teamed up with the @isuinsectzoo and @ppemisu departments for inspiration and their knowledge to give you the most accurate and lifelike 3D cicada renders and animations/designs. Thank you to the staff and departments that hosted us and if you haven't checked out the insect zoo at @iowastateu, you're missing out!

This animation was created in Cinema4D and rendered with Redshift. Cicada models were developed in Zbrush and textured in Substance Painter.
