Research in music therapy supports its effectiveness in many areas such as: overall physical rehabilitation and facilitating movement, increasing people's motivation to become engaged in their treatment, providing emotional support for clients and their families, and providing an outlet for expression of feelings. Triple C Music since 2004: Providing a safe outlet for musical expression while emphasizing cognitive, motor & behavioral goals that will produce results applicable to daily living. Robbin Buford attended West Texas A&M University and received her Bachelor of Music degree in music therapy in 2004. She went on to the Center for Discovery in 2003 and completed a 6 month internship at ...The Center for Discovery, in Harris NY and had extra training in clinical improvisation with Nordoff-Robbins Institute with Clive Robbins. Following her internship, she began working at Northern Oklahoma Resource Center of Enid (NORCE) in Enid, OK working with adults with disabilities and dual diagnosed. She was there for almost 2 1/2 years until the doors opened at Integris Bass Baptist Hospital, working with 4-18 year old children and families in a mental health (abuse, neglect, self-abuse, aggression, etc) and dual diagnosed and adults with Alzheimer’s, mental health, rehab, and various disabilities. She provided her services for 3 years while commuting to The Rise School of Stillwater with Oklahoma State University and Stillwater Public School. Then moved to Stillwater, OK to continue fulltime services to the community of Stillwater and surrounding areas. Currently she maintains a private practice where she sees clients in her studio where she provides music therapy services, teaches piano, guitar, drums, & voice lessons and has a contract at Stillwater Public School, CDL/Rise Program of Oklahoma State University. In addition to board certification, Robbin has completed specialized training in Death and Dying in music therapy. She is trained to use music therapy interventions, such as multi-modal stimulation.
