So, I’m sitting here at my desk getting into the things of God, watching YouTube videos, and responding to my friends on the Book and the Tok. Today was a beautiful day. I didn’t even have to run the air. Mom has taken her leave for the night so; I’m enjoying some quiet time. I remembered the leftover turkey that I put into the fridge earlier today and thought to myself, “Self, a grilled cheese sandwich infused with a healthy portion of turkey would be just what the doctor ordered.” I went into the kitchen, got the bowl of carved turkey out and set it on the island, got a slice of cheese out of the fridge, some vegetable oil, and a couple pieces of bread. Fired up the frying pan and let her do what she does. Came back into the office for just a sec and when I returned to my sandwich, it was a little too dark on the bottom. I flipped it over and let it fry on the other side. Went back to the office and got distracted a second time. I came back to my sandwich, and it was a little over cooked on that side too. I got it out of the pan a little disappointed, dabbed it with a paper towel on both sides and slid it onto a saucer. As I walked back into my office, I began my usual prayer of gratitude for this meager meal and while I was praying, the Lord said, “Be grateful! Pray to Me as if you’re grateful.” I was a bit ashamed and humbled as I realized that I was about to say that same ole repetitive prayer before enjoying a gift that almost 90% of the world’s population can’t enjoy. Realizing that most are blessed and grateful if they can muster up one sandwich per day when I’ve had three hot meals as well as this snack, I'm typing this message out to say, "Let’s treat the Lord like the provider He is and let’s not insult His generosity and grace by accepting a gift without thanking Him properly. Let’s just be grateful"

I feel so sorry for the People of God who think that they must hold on to jobs that have them acting outside of their Christian character. Jobs that mandate the absence of compassion and empathy for others, not allowing them to act upon the Spirit of Discernment that lives inside of them. Why do we continue to think that being employed in this manner provides for our needs when the Word of God tells us that God is our sole source of provision? Where is our faith? The enemy has planted double agents in our churches, our pulpits, in our classrooms, and even in our state houses. Unless we’re acting as a double agent for the Kingdom of God, this is not where we belong. Come out from among them! I’m so sick of seeing Believers out here filling the purses of the enemy! I'm just sayin'!

A lot of people are signing off on the processes that gives and enforces the laws that govern our nation. Because of immorality and the distance that we have traveled away from the Biblical World view, some are just checking out of the process all together. They feel that because of the confusion regarding the processes that we use to put our representatives in seats of authority, they chose not to participate in what needs to be done at the ballot box. I’m here to tell you to do your research and uphold what the Word of God says and act in kind. Use the lens of God’s Word to make your decisions and then act on them. Even though you may feel that it doesn’t matter either way or the other, what it does is document your position on the side of right. It’s time to do our research instead of believing everything we hear. Factcheck everything. You may be surprised in what you find, then act accordingly.
