The roots run deep at AMP. Although we don’t do a lot of reporting on the straight line guys, John Force is an icon in all of motorsports. Everyone here at Amarillo Motorsports Power Hour are so happy that he is out of intensive care. Our host Tommy Tee’s Father Ed Tortoreo was an executive with M&M Mars and Jolly Rancher and was instrumental and introducing nontraditional sponsors to both the NHRA and NASCAR. Ed and John were very close and John gave his Wally for winning this event to Ed’s wife Joanna. This Wally is a family heirloom in Tommy’s home and sits proudly on display. We are so happy that John is on the track to recovery. Godspeed John.

Vanilla Dave Vinesett providing us more video footage of big rain in Chicago. Notice the wet weather tires, they are bountiful!
Gas man extraordinaire, and our own Dave “Vanilla” Vinesett working in Chicago this weekend. Wet weather tires will be a premium later today at this historical race. Good luck to everyone involved.
Tommy Tee cohost of the Amarillo Motorsports Power Hour is a fan just like all of our listeners. He had an opportunity to call in and speak with Dave Moody (The Godfather of NASCAR) on NASCAR radio Sirius channel 90 last season. Tommy has a fan first and is a big fan of the “Next Generation” car. He also has mad respect for Dave Moody.
Our first blooper on the Amarillo Motorsports Power Hour. We thought it was funny. It’s only four seconds long wait till the very end. We know we’re 13 years old but it’s too funny.
Sound of American power!!
