(especially the invasive species) grows very quickly in the summer, but Lee County Parks & Recreation and our hard-working volunteers are committed to keeping the corridor open for everyone to enjoy.
We have some exciting projects planned for the dry season and intend to jump on those ones things dry out and the growth slows down. That being said, keeping up with the invasive growth over summer is a tall task. The more people that show up to trim this summer the sooner we can start on the fun stuff, dirt maintenance and improvements!

A few volunteers found time last Sunday morning (6/2) to fix a corner on Far East that typically holds water in the wet season. We made a shallow borrow pit to collect storm water off trail and used the material to build a decent berm. 3 hour timelapse of the work.
Want to see more of this? Come on out to a work day! There are plenty of flat corners that hold water need this fix! The more volunteers we have involved in maintenance, the faster things get done, and the more time we can spend on building fun dirt features such as berms, rollers, and jumps!

Thank you to the volunteers who attended todays monthly volunteer day. We built a berm to fix a tight corner on the blue loop and had many riders thrilled to ride it before the end of the day.
