Well, we wrapped The Forest Through The Trees one week ago today.
This was by far, the biggest project I have attempted to tackle. 15 days scheduled (we actually did it in 14 days, because we got rained out 1 of them). 3 blocks of 5 days spread out over May and June. What a challenge!
I am so excited to share what we have created with the world! It is in post production now, and looks like it will be 3-4 months before it's finished.
We have already been in contact with 5 distribution companies who are waiting to see the finished product, so things are looking good!
First, to every cast and crew member...your dedication, positivity, and excitement astound me. Thank you all for working on this movie with me, and joining me on this incredible journey.
For some people I would like to publicly thank.
First, Charlie Brady. I couldn't ask for a better partner. Charlie helped tremendously. From helping me work on the screenplay to working so efficiently on set getting the shots and lighting set up. Thank you for everything my friend! It is always so fun working with you.
Robert Babcock. Knowing you had my back on set, helping keep everything organized and moving forward made all the difference in the world. I can't thank you enough for everything you have done for me, this project, and LLPFF. Love you, man.
Julia D. Borkowski Wow! Thank you for coming in, getting thrown into the deep end, and swimming like Michael Phelps! No matter the challenge that was thrown at you, you took in on with a smile, and got it done! I hope you build on the experience!
Carla Nemec. Oh. My. Goodness. Carla, I don't have the words to express how thankful I am for you. To everyone reading this, Carla is an absolute badass. She is a force, and she is relentless. She never rests, and is always working. Your set designs made every shot in the film so much richer. You are one of my favorite humans on the planet.
Annie Sullivan. You are incredible to watch. You emote so well. I can't wait for everyone to see how amazing you are in this film! I know you are destined to have all your dreams come true, and I'm happy that our movie could help you towards them.
James Stokes. Brother. Thank you for bringing your A game, and working with me on this character. I think this could be a game changing role for you, and I hope it opens up even more doors than Voorhees did.
Alivea Disney-Actress My best Fraaaaannn... We did it again! I've said it before, and it is not any less true today, but you bring life to every frame you are in. Thank you for everything you did to make this movie happen.
Brad Adams Official Bradley, thank you for all your preparation and hard work on the character! Your performance was one for the ages! I am so excited about what you did with the character! Thank you for being patient with me, and I'm so glad that this was the first of my movies you were in! Here's to more!
Scott Doss. Hol-ley Crap! I cannot wait for everyone to see Julian. Thank you so much Scott for breathing life into my vision of this character so perfectly. I could not be happier with every syllable, movement, and facial expression in your performance. It was absolutely perfect.
There are so many more I would like to thank individually, but this post would be so long. I get emotional just thinking of all of you. So happy to call you all family!
