Peebles firefighters were among the first responders called at about 9:45 p.m. to the three-story Duncan Avenue building, which is part of the Royal Manor Apartments complex. Crews had the fire under control in about a half hour, Williams said.

A McCandless man is charged with shooting at least 10 rounds of bullets into a neighbor’s home Wednesday afternoon.

McCandless police responded to the 8000 block of Ringeisen Road at about 3:30 p.m. for reports of shots heard and a woman reported a neighbor was firing bullets into her house.

Hampton is replacing the Clearview Road Bridge, which crosses Gourdhead Run and connects to Route 8.

If her surname sounds familiar, she's married to Caliente Pizza & Draft House owner Nick Bogacz, and Dough Daddy has been the name for beers brewed especially for the restaurant’s various locations: Aspinwall, Bloomfield, Crafton, Hampton, Monroeville, Mt. Lebanon and Sewickley.

There may be a new baby pool at North Park this summer, but the popular swimming site has a long and rich history.
