How I Started on YouTube

My name is Eugene. I’m 26 years old & I’m an Iowa based gaming YouTuber called VampireLord1024. I watched other more popular YouTubers & thought if they could make and upload videos to YouTube, then surely I could as well & so that’s what I did. I created my YouTube channel on January 27th, 2013 but forgot the password to it. On March 30th, 2013, (over 7 years ago), is when I made my second channel, aka this one currently, but I didn’t start uploading until mid May 2013, during YouTube’s “Geek Week”. Back then, I wasn’t 100% sure of what videos I wanted on my channel or what videos in general to upload to my channel, so I started doing video game myth videos and let’s plays, as well, the let’s plays have stuck with me since then.

I tend to upload 1-2 videos per day, each week of every month of every year, which is a lot of work, well in a way it sort of is. I generally wait a day or two to upload the next video if it’s a part of a let’s play that I’m currently working on. I do enjoy making specials, like for holidays and such. Towards the end of every month I upload a vlog video detailing what plans, if any, that I have for the next month and so on so forth, as a way of letting my subscribers know so they aren’t confused.

My goal as a YouTuber is to interact with my subscribers, whether it’s by playing a video game with them, talking to them on Twitter through direct messaging or just replying to their comment or comments on a video of mine. Not very many YouTubers seem to have much interactions with their fans/subscribers, so that’s why I’m different.

Just this year in 2018, I have branched my channel out and have done other things then let’s plays. An example would be that in late January 2017 I made my first YouTube P**p reaction video, mainly as a test to see how many people would watch a video that had me in it & well, the results were pretty damn satisfying. I’ve also done food/pop reviews, game reviews, movie/TV show/game collection videos, funny moments within video games, funny real life moments, Top videos, such as 5’s, 10’s & so ons. I’ve collabed with a lot of people, mainly with my older YouTube subscribers, but for the most part, I never considered them to be collab videos. I’ve even livestream for the fun of it from time to time on here and then upload it to my YouTube channel at a later day and time. As of January 17th, 2018, I started to livestream a little bit ore more on my YouTube channel & interact live with the people that join.
