Fireworks reminders

🎇Friendly reminder with the 4th of July just a week away, Governer Kim Reynolds recently passed a new law about when allowed to use Fireworks, Senate 303 will take effect July 1, 2025. See more information below: 🔽

Here’s when fireworks are allowed:
July 3: 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM (or until 11:00 PM if it falls on a Saturday or Sunday)
July 4: 9:00 AM – 11:00 PM
December 31: 9:00 AM – 12:30 AM (into New Year’s Day)

⚠️Also friendly reminder, Deputies may confiscate any fireworks that are being used recklessly or carelessly.⚠️

As always we want everyone to have a fun and festive holiday—but also a safe and neighbor-friendly one. Please be mindful of others, especially those with pets, young children, veterans, or early morning work schedules. A little courtesy goes a long way!🎇

Southern Hancock County in north central Iowa...

* Until 500 PM CDT.

* At 411 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Corwith, or 17 miles northwest of Clarion, moving
east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
Kanawha and Corwith around 415 PM CDT.
Klemme around 445 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Kanawha, Klemme, Goodell, and Corwith.
