It’s time to go back home. 🇵🇷✨

After 7 years in the U.S., I’m moving back to Puerto Rico in April!

I’m beyond grateful for everything I’ve experienced—the opportunities, the growth, the incredible people I’ve met along the way.

But right now, coming home just feels right. I’ve reconnected with my family, my best friends, and the kind of support that makes me feel like I’m never alone. Being here has given me clarity, fresh inspiration, and a new level of motivation and goals.

And don’t worry—SMS Media isn’t going anywhere. My business is fully remote, and I’ll still be traveling when needed. This move isn’t about stepping away—it’s about stepping into what feels aligned for me right now.

I can’t wait to share this next chapter with you. Puerto Rico, I’m coming home. 🇵🇷✨

Hi, I’m María! 👋 I’m a 28-year-old Puerto Rican girl who turned some of life’s hardest moments into my dream life.

It all started after Hurricane Maria forced me to leave Puerto Rico. I moved to the U.S. 7 years ago, juggling a full-time internship at the Library of Congress, a part-time job at UPS, and full-time virtual studies from PR. (How I managed it? I’ll never know!)

Then in 2020, when COVID hit, I took another tough moment and turned it into my opportunity to start my business. Today, I help small businesses show up authentically, connect with their people, and thrive on social media.

A few things you should know about me:
✨ I LOVE social media—crazy, I know, but I see it as a way to build community and create meaningful connections.

This year, I’m grateful for resilience, growth, and the people who made it all worthwhile.

2024 was a whirlwind—I made it through a year that both broke me and built me in ways I never expected.

I’m also so grateful for finding a group of friends who bring out the most playful, funny, and authentic version of me. They’ve been a light in this crazy year.
