New Orleans (LA) — Natalie Graves hit a game-winning 3 pointer with 7 seconds left and finished with 17 points to lead the Buckeye Lady Panthers to a 40-39 come from behind victory over #8 Fredrick Douglass HS on Monday night in the LHSAA DII Select Playoffs.
Addison Clanton was 10 of 10 from the foul line and had a career high 12 points to aid Buckeye as they advance to the quarterfinal round where they will face #1 University Lab.
The game was played in front of over 100 Buckeye faithful who made the 3 and a half hour trip to the Lower 9th Ward of NOLA to support these ladies.

It was a great day to be a Lady Panther! Again, the love and support our community showed tonight was truly amazing and help pushed these players over the top.

Good morning!

After the victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, former LSU star and Washington Commanders rookie Jayden Daniels reminded us of the ultimate source of strength: “Trust in the Lord God.” When asked how he stayed calm and poised under pressure, his answer wasn’t about skill or strategy, it was about faith. He said, “There’s nothing I should worry about, man. Put all my worries on Him.”

What a powerful reminder for us today. Life throws its challenges, but when you place your trust in God, you can move forward with a peace that surpasses all understanding. Whatever battles you’re facing this week, know this: You don’t have to carry them alone. Give them to Him, walk in faith, and let His strength guide you.

Stay calm. Stay poised. Stay anchored in Him.
