✝️ The Holy Spirit has been teaching us how to love. Here are a few simple examples in our marriage from Galatians 5:22–23:
️⃣𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲: Show care when your spouse is tired, stressed, or not in the best mood. Love can look like making them a plate of food or watching the baby so they can rest.
️⃣𝗝𝗼𝘆: Find small moments to laugh together, even when the house is messy and the baby is crying.
️⃣𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲: Choose to talk calmly instead of raising your voice during disagreements, especially when everyone is already tired.
️⃣𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: Don’t get upset when your spouse moves slowly in the morning or forgets things.
️⃣𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀: Speak gently when your spouse makes a mistake instead of pointing fingers.
️⃣𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀: Choose to be honest and fair with each other, even when it’s uncomfortable, like admitting when you were wrong instead of blaming your spouse.
️⃣𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀: Stay ommitted to your spouse and putting your marriage first, no matter the season.
️⃣𝗚𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀: Correct each other with respect, not anger or harsh words.
️⃣𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹: Take a deep breath before reacting when socks are on the floor, dishes are in the sink, and nothing is where it should be. Haha
♥️We are convinced marriage is not about being perfect. With Jesus at the center, marriage becomes a place of peace, respect, and love.
