Throwback to 2008 & 2010…
, when and how did you start playing guitar? When and how did you start recording music?
“My Dad plays guitar so there were always guitars around in my house growing up. Eventually I decided I wanted to give it a try after my Dad showed me the song Eruption by Van Halen and went “That is one guy playing guitar”, that blew my mind I think it was the fact that it no longer sounded like a guitar anymore. He was able to manipulate the instrument in ways it wasn’t meant for or at least in ways no one had thought to use before and it immediately inspired me. After studying guitar for a while my guitar teacher was really getting into recording and burned me some software to try and similar to the EVH thing I was immediately mesmerized at the ability to manipulate and sculpt sounds and arrangements in a digital audio workstation. That was like sophomore/ junior year of high school and I just started recording music with my friend’s bands and my bands and just learning as much as I could about recording.”

Hey everyone! Just wanted to take a sec to introduce myself again, I’m Justin, and I’m the head engineer & owner here at Sound Splitter Studio!

I currently run Sound Splitter out my home, right outside of Philadelphia in the Aldan/Springfield area. I have been recording, mixing and mastering for over 10 years, working with bands in all genres. My friends say I am down to earth and easy to work with, and I am ultimately here to serve you and your art! My goal with every project is to take the vision of the artist/musician and bring it to life.
