Thank you! Thank you everyone for all the support of our run for Bernalillo County Commission. Though it was not the result we were hoping for, I am proud we gave all our heart in this race.

When I announced my candidacy just a few months ago, I knew it would be an uphill battle and I would be the underdog in this race. What I did not know was how divisive and ugly politics can be. I am proud to say, we rose above that and kept a clean and honest campaign. I have always stood tall in hopes to make a difference in our community, and the result will not change that. I will continue fighting for our community and be an advocate for every voice.

I am so grateful to each one of you that supported this campaign. You all helped in a huge way and I will always remember the support you showed for this campaign and simply believing in me.

Today is Election Day! 🗳
Please don’t forget to vote!

Growing up, I only dreamed about running for office. My Mom used to always talk about me running for office one day, but I would just laugh it off because it seemed crazy at the time. I wish she was here to see this dream become a reality.

Running for office has been such an experience. I have loved learning so much more about my community and meeting so many people. It’s amazing how much more I have learned, realizing the need for someone to be a voice for all of our community. Too many voices across the community have not been heard for too long. I am running for Bernalillo County Commission because we need a voice for all of the community, not just the politically connected. We need someone who will listen and truly cares about making a difference. That is what I have always done, and will continue to do if I am elected.

Win or lose today, I’m glad I did it. It has not been easy running for office with all the lies and smear campaigns against my name, but I chose the high road and never lied or tried to smear my opponent for my gain. I know I ran a good clean race and I am proud of that.

Thank you to all my family, friends, and new friends across the community who have supported me during this race. All the support has been sincerely appreciate. If you have taken time to share any of my posts, tell your friends/family to vote for me, made a contribution, volunteer, and/or put up a sign for me, I want to give you a big THANK YOU! All of the support is sincerely appreciated and all of it makes a difference.

Today, I spent time reflecting on the true significance of Memorial Day and came together in gratitude with many others. Let’s honor their lives by looking out for those who continue to protect our country and dedicate their lives to the critical work of upholding democracy. These heroes will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸

We are proud to have the support of Los Ranchos Mayor and Los Ranchos farmers. I will always be a voice for ALL of the community!

We had a great meeting this morning with farmers across Los Ranchos that are very upset with the way my opponent has been doing things in her current elected position with the MRGCD (the one board she is on that includes free trips and a per diem). Some farmers say they are on the verge of losing farms and orchards that have been in their families for decades. If elected, I will always work hard for the families of Bernalillo County and be a voice for the community, not just the politically connected.

Please spread the word - there is an evacuation in the North Valley from the Bosque fire. If you know anyone in this area or you are in this area, please evacuate immediately. Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, and Rio Rancho firefighters are working hard to mitigate the fires. 🙏🏼

Yesterday morning I enjoyed a tour of part of the El Camino Real that runs through the North Valley while learning about issues concerning to the neighborhood association there. It is important that our civic leaders make time to always listen to the community and be their voice, and that is what I always plan to do if elected.

Happy Mothers Day to the all the Moms, Stepmoms, Grandmothers, Aunts, Sisters, and other mother figures in our lives who love and support us without question or condition. Celebrating all the Mother’s out there and sending my love to all of you!

I am celebrating my late Mother on this Mother’s Day and National Nurses Week. I am grateful to have been raised by a strong Mother who also worked hard helping others her whole life. ❤️

Small Business Saturday! There are so many great businesses across District 1! I dropped by La Luz Coffee Hub in between campaigning today and they were hosting a market with food trucks, local vendors, and live music! I found a few goodies myself and love supporting small business!

Agua es Vida! How lucky are we to have the Rio Grande run through our city? It is easy to take for granted all the amazing things in our own backyard, but I am grateful for all of it and know the importance of protecting our natural resources.

Albuquerque is a national leader in water conservation. We are truly blessed in New Mexico to live in a diverse community with acequia systems that have existed for hundreds of years through water-sharing and conservation in times of drought and water shortages. Working together in collaboration with the community, we will build a secure water future for generations to come.

Thankful. That is how I felt waking up today. I am thankful for all the support from friends, family, and new friends I’ve met during the campaign the last few weeks. I knew going into this it would not be easy, but with every challenge comes opportunity. I am in this race because I love our community and truly want to make a difference. I am thankful for all the support the community has shown me, and grateful for this opportunity. I will always work hard for our community through this election and beyond.
