No one wants to be sold. Everyone wants to be served. Not many people wake up in the morning, take a sip of coffee and say, “man i can’t wait to be sold today!”
To have success in advertising and marketing, you have to put people first. If your goal in a marketing or advertising campaign is ONLY to close deals as fast as possible... good luck. Some of the most impactful content in the world is very simple. It’s relevant, it’s beautiful, it’s entertaining, and it “shares” a story with the consumer. It doesn’t just “tell” a story. So many media companies are running around with the gospel of story telling. Consumers want story sharing.
