The eight families who started Sand Dunes Mushroom Cooperative are one step closer to realizing their vision for a better mushroom future after the Alamosa County Commissioners signed off on a special use permit that allows the cooperative to grow specialty culinary mushrooms and mushrooms with medicinal value.
