Alamosa High’s Samantha Maestas and Jeremiah DeLaCerda have their hands raised as state champions at Saturday’s Colorado High School state wrestling tournament. Also crowned state champion were Gizelle Meraz who attends Center High and wrestles for Alamosa, Aaron Valadez of Center High and Parker Buhr of Centauri High. Alamosa finished runner up in the Class 3A boys team standings and got state runnerup performances from Anthony Meder, Uriah Martinez and Dyson Woodward. Alamosa PD: “During this operation a female resident who was identified as Priscilla Medina, 49 of Alamosa was taken into custody. Medina had an active warrant out of the Alamosa Police Department for Trespassing, an active misdemeanor warrant out of the Alamosa County Sheriff’s Office for Driving While Ability Impaired, another warrant out of the Alamosa Police Department for 3rd Degree Assault and a felony warrant out of the Alamosa County Sheriff’s Office for 2nd Degree Assault.Medina was transported to the Alamosa County Jail and booked on the above warrants. She was also charged with unlawful distribution and possession of drugs. Also arrested was Horace Lovato, 53 of Alamosa for unlawful distribution of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. Lovato was booked into the Alamosa County Jail.”
