New series: Life Stories Today I met with a gentleman that is 69 years old. He has a whole life insurance policy that he purchased when he was 43. He has paid the minimum cost of insurance for the last 26 years and now his policy will terminate next year. We are going to help him fix the policy to last until he is at least 100, but he lost the opportunity to use this policy as a tax free savings vessel at 4.5% guaranteed earnings. The moral of the story: A life insurance agent can sell you "whole life" policy, but that doesn't mean it will last your whole life. It has to be funded correctly. As an agency, we work with you to set up a policy that works for you now and later. You are more than just a sale! If you need us to review your current life policy, we are happy to do that as well.
