When writing for a child we need to write LIKE A CHILD and that takes FAITH.
FAITH IS DOING SOMETHING WITHOUT FULLY UNDERSTANDING, BUT TRUSTING IT'S GOING TO WORK OUT.
Don't worry about planning every detail of your story. Let the story flow...play and pretend and ILLUSTRATE FIRST before you write.
Children don't plan their stories...they play and pretend and let it come naturally...
This is the type of confidence that we need when we go to write our stories. There are no wrong answers.
So let's give it a try...

In the picture above I want you to tell the story of this penguin.
Pretend to be the penguin (put yourself in his/hers shoes....and for 5 minutes write as fast as you can (just write the first thing that pops into your head) starting with...
