I built SPN with a plan and very specific goals. It's taken a while, but it's coming together.

It's cool to be moving up the pages for search terms like "waffles", "wraps", "Entrepreneur", "memes", "Pizza", "Plumber", "Fashion", "Business", "Travel", "reviews", and many others on a global scale.

"Falafel" was one of the first highly-competitive one word terms that we started getting traffic for on a global scale; and that makes me smile.

It hard for me to view it as competing with the big sites until we start really beating them on some of these terms on a consistent basis.

Our domain authority is only to continue to rise with each new member, business listing, and posts that we add.

If you build it, they will come. If it helps them put food on the table, they're going to come back. It's been a simple plan all along. The ex*****on has been less simple. :)
