Life can get busy, but God’s Word should always be a priority! However, often my flesh is a priority. We will always make time for things that matter most to us. Let’s pray that God will give us hearts that hunger for his Word and that we would approach His Word with honor and privilege rather than a duty or something to check-off our lists.

Here are 4 quick & simple ways to stay connected to Scripture, even in the busiest of seasons.

What are some things you do to prioritize God’s Word every day? Let me know in the comments and let’s encourage other sisters.

My babies start year 10 of homeschool.

I was thinking how much I have loved homeschooling my kids for the past 10 years. I can’t believe it’s been that long, but I’m thankful that the Lord made it possible for us to do so.

Would you join us in praying for our children as we prepare to launch them into this crazy world?

Our prayer is that the Lord will protect them, guide their steps, and that everything we’ve taught them will be the foundation for the choices they make.

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. - Hebrews 10:23

In a world that constantly changes and presents us with uncertainties, holding onto hope can sometimes feel like holding onto a wisp of smoke. Yet, the author of Hebrews urges us to “hold fast the confession of our hope.”

What does this look like?

1. The Nature of Our Hope: Our hope is not based on wishful thinking or uncertain outcomes. The hope we profess is rooted in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This hope is sure and steadfast, anchored in the unchanging nature of God.

2. Holding fast: To hold fast means to cling to something without wavering, despite challenges or obstacles. It’s a call to perseverance and steadfastness in our faith. This can be particularly challenging during times of trial or doubt. However, this verse encourages us to maintain our grip on hope, even when circumstances try to shake us.

3. The Faithfulness of God: The reason we can hold onto this hope so firmly is because “he who promised is faithful.” God’s faithfulness is a recurring theme throughout the Bible. From the promises made to Abraham to the fulfillment of the new covenant through Jesus, God has shown Himself to be reliable and true. Our confidence in hope is directly tied to our confidence in God’s faithfulness.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the hope we have in Jesus Christ. Help us to hold fast to this hope, trusting in Your faithfulness. Strengthen our faith and remind us of Your promises each day. In moments of doubt or difficulty, may we be anchored in the certainty of Your unchanging love and faithfulness. Amen.

If we understand that Christ came to take away our sins, then it’s only logical to conclude that we have sins which need to be taken away. Rare is the man or woman who would say that he or she has never done wrong! We all have impure thoughts. We all speak bitter words. We all know what it is to live an unholy life. But the word of God comes to us and says, Here is the good news: Christ appeared in this world to take away your sins.

Today, lay hold of this message with renewed joy and gratitude. Let these eight words be the most precious part of your Christmas season: “He appeared in order to take away sins.” Your friends, coworkers, and neighbors may be more open to the gospel message during the holiday season; make it your aim, then, not to further the misguided perception that Christmas is nothing more than a sentimental emblem of God’s love, as though His Son lay gurgling in the manger but never hung in agony on the cross. God’s love can only be fully explained in the purpose of Christ’s coming: to take away our sins.

The Advent story reminds us that our past, present, and future hope rest not on our willingness, but on the willingness of the One for whom the angels sang, the shepherds worshiped, and the magi searched. Willing Jesus is the only hope for unwilling sinners!

“Come, my heart, cheer up! In a little while I will be as glad as I am now gloomy. Jesus tells me that by a heavenly alchemy my sorrow will be turned to joy. I do not see how this will be, but I believe it, and I begin to sing in anticipation. This depression of spirit is not for long. I will soon be up among the happy ones who praise the Lord day and night. And there I will sing of the mercy which delivered me out of great afflictions.” - Charles H. Spurgeon

Today, let us reflect on our need for salvation and the grace offered through Christ and ponder on Jesus' FINISHED work on the Cross. You don't have to DO, because He already DID!

Remember...

🤎For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. - Romans 3:23-2

🤎 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. - Ephesians 2:8-9

🤎 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

🎵 Out of the depths of silent night
A Savior born, a mother's sigh
The darkness trembled at this Star
A beam of hope for troubled hearts
You came to make Your blessings known
And bear our curse of death alone
You came to share our suffering
So in our sorrow we could sing

Glory, glory, glory in the darkest place
Glory, glory, glory let Your mercy reign🎵
