Lessons were learned this year 😂🫠 we started this last year and a couple days before Christmas Eve this year, our daughter said, “Will y’all wrap us in again?” 😂we knew exactly what she meant and of course we did! We’ll make it easier on ourselves next year though.

I know there are lots of ways to make these and twice as many opinions BUT this is how I made mine and I loved how they turned out. Realistically, will I make them again? No. Well, maybe next year at Christmas. 😂it was a fun little experiment and I have no regrets!

If you’re thinking about doing any one of these things I listed, I can help! I was right where you are just 3 short years ago. We lived next to my parents in the city I grew up in. I could walk to the grocery store, restaurants, and so much more. Then my husband got transferred to a small town and we uprooted.
I, who was once very anti-homeschooling, who proclaimed “I could never live in the middle of nowhere!”, now couldn’t imagine losing the freedom we have as homeschoolers, or living back in the hustle and bustle of the city. And let’s not forget the chickens! I love those crazy little fluffy butts and I can’t go back to store bought eggs.
Yes, there are things you sacrifice when you choose this lifestyle but I will gladly to it for this little piece of paradise ☺️

Would you eat beans for breakfast? I got hooked on them when we went to England so of course I had to figure out how to make them ☺️ I found this recipe from @recipe_tin and then tweaked it to my liking, so here’s my final version:
* 2 cups (14 oz) dried Navy beans (aka Haricot) or other white beans OR
* 3 x 400g/14oz cans harricot/navy beans, cannellini or any white beans , drained
* 2 cups chicken stock/broth
* 1 cup water
* 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
* 6 tbsp ketchup
* 2 tbsp tomato paste
* 1 tbsp brown sugar or sucanat
* 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
* 1/2 tsp garlic powder
* 1/2 tsp onion powder
* 1/2 tsp black pepper
* 1 tsp salt
If using dried beans, add beans + 4 cups of water to instant pot. Cook on high pressure for 30 minutes, check for doneness and then continue to cook in 10 minute increments until done. Once done, drain.
If using canned beans, drain and set aside.
Add all remaining ingredients to your sauce pot and mix until combined. Once combined, add in drained beans and bring to a boil. Once boiling, give it a good stir and then turn down to low. Simmer until thickened to your liking, about 1-2 hours, stirring frequently.
