A yet unknown number of people is feared dead after a cement mixer truck crashed a Mitsubishi RVR vehicle in which they were traveling along Entebbe Road.
The truck registration number UAN 836B, reportedly failed to brake and the driver lost control, before overturning onto a Mitsubishi registration number UBQ 371P, which was waiting in traffic.

In the year 1400 AH (1979), former Imam & Khateeb of Masjid Al Haram, the late Sheikh Muhammad Al-Subayyil visited Iran when the Kingdom’s government sent him after Iran’s announcement of being an ‘Islamic Republic’, and he presented a copy of the Holy Qur’an to Khomeini, asking him to do what is in it and stop the acts of killing and theft that accompanied the Iranian Revolution.
The reception ceremony was somewhat strange, as Khomeini was sitting on a chair, and they prepared a seat for the Sheikh on the floor! If the Sheikh approached, he greeted him while Khomeini was sitting on his chair. Perhaps they wanted to depict the Imam of the Haram bowing to greet the leader of the revolution. When the Sheikh arrived, he sat in his place prepared for him before he greeted him. Then when he sat, he extended his hand to greet him, and it was Khomeini who bowed to greet him. .
At the beginning of the emergence of the Khomeini revolution, its principles were apparently deceptive to Islamic countries and Dawah movements, and its truth and hostility had not yet appeared, and scholarly responses to the doctrinal deviations of the Shi’ites had not yet followed.

في عام 1400هـ - 1979م، زار امام وخطيب المسجد الحرام الشيخ الراحل محمد السبيل إيران لما أرسلته حكومة المملكة على رأس، وأهدى نسخة من المصحف الشريف لـ الخميني، مطالبا إياه بالعمل بما فيه، ووقف أعمال القتل والسرقة التي صاحبت الثورة الإيرانية.
وكانت مراسم الاستقبال فيها شيء من الغرابة، فقد كان الخميني جالسًا على كرسي، وقد أعدوا للشيخ مجلسًا على الأرض! فإذا أقبل الشيخ سلم عليه وهو جالس على كرسيه، ولعلهم أرادوا بذلك أن يصوروا إمام الحرم وهو ينحني للسلام على قائد الثورة، فلما أقبل الشيخ، جلس في مكانه المعد له قبل أن يسلم، ثم لما جلس مد يده ليسلم، فكان الخميني هو من انحنى للسلام.
في بداية ظهور الثورة الخمينية كانت مبادؤها في الظاهر خادعة للدول الإسلامية والحركات الدعوية ، ولم تظهر حقيقتها وعداوتها بعد ، ولم تتوالى الردود العلمية على الانحرافات العقدية للشيعة الإمامية.
