Our partners are no longer willing to increase any more funding for malaria, they have all levelled off. We were invited to Cameroon recently, I was there in person and we were told the world has moved on to climate change issues, global health security and to wars in Ukraine and Israel. So we were told to sign a declaration that each of the 10 high burden countries will look for their own domestic resources and bring their malaria pandemics or epidemics to an end by themselves. So, we aren’t looking for any additional increase of resources for malaria, it has to be domestic resources," said Minister

The Minister of Health, has revealed that the international donors have announced plans to end funding malaria projects in Uganda & have Gov’t raise its own funds to fight against malaria, because the donors have now turned their focus on other global issues like wars in Ukraine & Gaza as well as climate change activities.

My instruments of power have become useless - IGG Kamya

“Corruption is killing this nation. In the office I sit in, I am the one who gets these corruption complaints, but the most disturbing thing is there is no evidence, it is always done under the table. I have the instruments of power to put these people down, but it’s done between two people, in closed doors in the dark. So, my instruments of power have become useless,” the Inspector General of Government (IGG) Beti Kamya said during St. Mary's Day celebrations.

My name is Kenny, Kindly advise me..!
I have been with my fiance for about years . Last year l visited her parents and we agreed to move in together as a couple that plans to stay together for long .
Now, l understand we both have very demanding jobs, we are both busy therefore she doesn't get time to cook especially during week days . So we end up eating restaurant food which I don't like. Since we moved in , I have asked her to at least once in a while cook for me even if uts an egg or making juice but all she says is that l should get a maid to do the cooking .what disturbs me is that on sundays she stays home but same story ,she orders from a restaurant. I'm tired of restaurant food, plus it's very expensive. I need a solution .Advise please.
Was thinking of ending this relationship? Because when we get married won't the situation worsen? Does she even love me ?

UPDATE: NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi has suspended Mathias Mpuuga from the role of Deputy President (Central Region) in the party over alleged corruption and abuse of office while serving as Leader of Opposition in Parliament. Kyagulanyi insists that Mpuuga failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for these actions.

According to Burora, his suspension has brought disrepute to the President's office and government. The request for early retirement therefore is to avoid further damage to their reputation.

The Acting Inspector General of Police, Maj Gen Tumusiime Katsigazi, has revealed that some police officers are deserting the force because of loans. Katsigazi, adds that loan-related desertions are emanating from borrowing by impulse. “This is Friday. It’s a month to our wedding but I still do not have approval from her father. My fiancee has now made a plan for us to get married secretively & invite a few family and friends. I was very okay with the plan & we now have everything ready but as the day comes closer, I'm starting to worry that if we proceed with the wedding without her father's blessing, we might have issues. Reacting to the decision/proposal by Finance Ministry to reduce Parliament's budget by 50%, Kalungu West MP, Joseph Ssewungu, has called on the house to handle the issue of PSST seriously, accusing him of being disrespectful toward MPs.

“He doesn’t respect MPs and committees of Parliament. The late Keith Muhakanizi, (former PSST) would appear any time Parliament would invite him in the Committee but Ggoobi, I don’t know where he gets his strength and powers from. Once you remove appropriation from Parliament, then what are we doing here, we are rendered null and void we aren’t useful here.”

Speaker has protested the move by Ministry of Finance to reduce Parliament’s budget by 50%, with MPs describing the decision as humiliating and demeaning to the Legislature saying, "Our deduction of 50%, shall we be paid salary? You even have the courtesy to put it in bold, on a statutory vote that Parliament shouldn’t get money."

The development comes at the time Parliament has been in the spotlight over corruption & wasteful expenditures, although, it isn't known whether Finance's decision was informed by findings from these social media allegations.

A ministry of Health driver has been apprehended for stealing a government vehicle that was used in the transportation of delegates during NAM and G77 plus China summits. According to Luke Owoyesigire the Deputy Spokesperson Kampala metropolitan policing Area, a government Motor vehicle, registration number UG 0053N under the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance attached to transport delegates during NAM went missing after the summits, Owoyesigire adds that investigations were carried out and on Thursday last week police apprehended Musiime Mathias a driver attached to the Ministry of Health who had stolen the car.

Present are CC members of Patriotic League of Uganda. Chairman Toyota Michael kaguta, Hon Daudi Kabanda, Cordinator Greater Masaka PLU and Minister Hon kasolo, Rcc Hudu Hussein Stake holders in Greater masaka subregion, elected leaders and other supporters of Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

A team of people that have been travelling from Ibanda to Buhweju for the burial ceremony have been involved in a terrible accident this afternoon in Nyakishenyi.

These were travelling in lbanda United Parents primary school van registration number UBG 746T that turned turned several times in steep slopes of Nyakishenyi Buhweju before killing two people on spot, according to the eye witnesses.
