Mbale College of Health Sciences held its 7th graduation ceremony on Friday, passing out 464 health workers across six fields of health training accredited by the Uganda Allied Health Examinations Board.

The graduates received diplomas in Clinical Medicine and Community Health, Clinical and Community Nutrition, Pharmacy, Post Basic Diploma in Anaesthesia, and certificates in Pharmacy and Theater Techniques.

Ingo things, this is INGO: Chairperson LC1 Mafudu Abandon FDC To NRM.

The Chairperson LC1 of Mafudu Village sparked Celebrations at Mafudu Primary School after he declared he had abandoned FDC for NRM.

The NRM community celebrated his decision and he was led to the Prime Minister who welcomed him into the NRM Party and issued him with a token of appreciation.

Nathan Nandala Mafabi who was at the same even who is the Area MP and the FDC Secretary General reiterated that he was not surprised with the decision made by the LC1 because poverty is the main reason he crossed to NRM and that he would be back to FDC by night time.

Mafabi also remarked that the LC is an Iteso who is not firm with his decision and that he wasn't surprised.

Prime Minister Robina Nabanja in response mocked the FDC Secretary General by calling him discriminatory by addressing the LC by his tribe and also noted that there is trouble in both FDC and NUP plus the acceptance of Norbert Mao to serve in the NRM Government as a minister and UPCs Chief also serving in the NRM Government.

UNRA is in Budadiri today on the venue for the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Namagumba—Budadiri—Nalugugu road project [39Km] in Sironko District.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the Namagumba—Budadiri—Nalugugu road project is taking place today, marking the beginning of construction activities on the road.

The project, funded by the African Development Bank [ADB], aims to enhance safer transportation, boost agriculture, and promote tourism activities in Eastern Uganda.🇺🇬

The project links to ⛰️ Mt. Elgon National Park.

Ingo things, this is INGO: Namisindwa district has failed to get potential candidates with minimum requirements to UPDF training.

The requirements which were put into consideration are being a Ugandan by nationality, passing medical tests whereby you must be free from any disease, having minimum of O level certificate with credits in mathematics and English subjects, having recommendation letter from LC1 to III then of GISO or DISO and RDC as a must.

Other requirements are adults from 18 to 22 years of age and who sat senior four between in the year of 2020 to 2023.

Imran Muluga who is spearheading the exercise in the district says that they started receiving applications from Monday this week and will take two weeks.

He says so far applicants are getting failed mathematics and English or with passes yet they want a credit in those subjects.

Muluga says that 99% of the candidates have been sent away since they lack credits in mathematics and English as required.

John Musila, Member of Parliament representing Bubulo East constituency in Namisindwa district, says that the government should reduce the requirements such that all young people can be considered.

He says that Namisindwa is one of the districts in the country which has been performing poorly under Uganda certificate of education.

Musila says that so far since 99% have not met the requirements it means most of the people who will be considered will not be from Namisindwa.

Ingo things, this is INGO:Promoter Nyk, DJ Jeff, and DJ SharpKid have resolved their conflict after a misunderstanding about an upcoming event, "Ebinu lye Mbale".

The issue began with promotional posters featuring the DJs without their knowledge or consent. The Mbale DJz Association criticized the practice, leading to a heated exchange between Nyk and the DJs. However, thanks to mediation from industry stakeholders, the parties have reconciled and agreed to work together
