Our Story
Lighthouse Television Uganda went on air in Kampala, Uganda in July 1997. Presiding over the opening ceremony was the Hon. Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda, Uganda's Minister of Information.
Because of our affiliation with Trinity Broadcasting Network, we have one of the strongest broadcasting signals of any private television station in the nation of Uganda. We broadcast at 50,000 Watts using a solid state 5 kilowatt transmitter with reports that our signal reaches 162 miles from Kampala. It's estimated that they are approximately 22 Million people under the Lighthouse Television signal
Lighthouse Television is owned by Calvary Cathedral International in Fort Worth, Texas pastored by Pastor Bob Nichols. Calvary Cathedral International is responsible for the day-to-day management of Lighthouse Television.
We are a Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) affiliate. We broadcast mostly Trinity Broadcasting Network programming. TBN is the world’s largest religious network and America’s most watched faith channel. TBN offers 24 hours of commercial-free inspirational programming that appeal to people in a wide variety of Protestant, Catholic and Messianic Jewish denominations
