Ebwalu: On our side, we will continue fighting for Human Rights because it was not brought by NRM or Gen Museveni. Human Rights are international declarations. Human Rights are not at the generosity of the State. These are our rights that we must enjoy at any time. #RushHour

Ebwalu: We are asking govt to stop jailing our people because of their political beliefs. We went into a multiparty system. Allow us to be in our political parties. If we are a registered political party, allow us to mobilise like you do. #RushHour

Awich: The Chairperson Uganda Human Rights Commission has a very safe tenure of duty and very good security. So I think the idea that security forces interfere with her duties is imaginary. Ebwalu: But she has said it herself. Awich: Maybe it's imaginary on her side. #RushHour

Ebwalu: We are still on. We have not announced officially that we are returning to Parliament. We (Opposition caucus) are going to have a meeting at 10 a.m. to see the way forward. #RushHour

Awich: I think we should avoid abuse of terms. A political prisoner would be a person like Nelson Mandela. If somebody is arrested and charged for a particular offense, that's the charge on record. How do you then impose your own charge based on political beliefs? #RushHour

Awich: I think there's confusion between two issues. There's a Supreme Court ruling on the Act that someone (Hon Michaal Kabaziguruka) had petitioned that he had been in prison on this Act and that was wrong. In the Case of the Constitutional Court, it interpreted whether Parliament was right to make the law that allows trial (of civilians in the Court Martial) and it ruled it was wrong. If I was an MP, I would move a motion to have this Act amended. #RushHour

Ebwalu: In the lakes, the army goes and beat our people, impounds their fish, and later sell this fish. They become the beneficiaries. So we are saying this must stop. You cannot continue beating our people here and there. #UrbanUpdates
