Urgent Appeal: Release Journalists Arrested During Political Rallies and Return Their Equipment.

Freedom of the press is a cornerstone of any democratic society, and journalists play a crucial role in ensuring transparency and accountability in government and politics. However, in recent times, there has been a disturbing trend of journalists being arrested during political rallies, hampering their ability to report the news without fear or favor. This article seeks to shed light on this issue and make an appeal for the immediate release of arrested journalists and the return of their confiscated equipment.

The Role of Journalists:

Journalists are the eyes and ears of the public, providing essential information that helps citizens make informed decisions. They are responsible for reporting the facts, giving voice to the marginalized, and holding those in power accountable for their actions. A free and independent press is essential for the functioning of a healthy democracy.

The Problem:

In recent political rallies, journalists have been detained and arrested by law enforcement agencies. This not only violates their rights but also hinders their ability to perform their duty of reporting the news objectively.
